Earning an AWSA or WSCC Championship
AWSA CHAMPIONSHIP

 

Section 1:
Championship points will be recorded for Winners Dog and Winners Bitch, at dog shows approved by AWSA Conformation Director.

Championship points will be recorded according to the number of eligible dogs competing in the regular classes of each sex
according to the Schedule of Points.

If the designated Winners Dog or Winners Bitch is also awarded Best of Breed, the dogs of both sexes that have been entered for
Best of Breed and that have been defeated in such competition, shall be counted in addition to the dogs that competed in the regular
classes for its sex in calculating Championship points.

If the dog designated Winners Dog or Winners Bitch is also awarded Best Opposite Sex to Best of Breed, the dogs of its own sex that
have been entered for Best of Breed competition and that have been defeated in competition for Best Opposite Sex, shall be
counted in addition to the dogs that competed in the regular classes for its sex in calculating Championship points.

The dog awarded Best of Winners shall be credited with the number of points calculated for Winners Dog or Winners Bitch,
whichever is greater.

In counting the number of eligible dogs in competition, a dog that is disqualified, or that is dismissed, excused or ordered from the
ring by the judge, or from which all awards are withheld, shall not be counted.

Section2:

A dog that has been awarded fifteen points, shall become an AWSA Champion. In order to be recognized as an AWSA Champion, a
dog must earn Championship points under not less than three different judges; two of these different judges must award a major win
(3 or more points). A dog becomes a Champion when it is officially recorded by AWSA.

WSCC CHAMPIONSHIP

1) A dog awarded WINNERS at a Specialty Show held under the WSCC rules, shall be credited with points (ranging from 0-5), and
the determination of the points credited to WINNERS, shall be as provided hereunder.









 

 

2) The schedule to be employed in the determination of points allocated to the dog awarded WINNERS, shall be as follows:

To determine the number of CHAMPIONSHIP points earned by a dog awarded WINNERS, total both bitches and dogs in competition
that the WINNERS defeated, for the highest of the official breed awards: Best of Winners, Best of Breed, Best Opposite Sex, and
then consult the schedule set forth above.
